Celeste's path to becoming who she is now had a pivotal point at the young age of 18months.  At this pure age, she was blessed by a Hindu spiritual leader named Baba Muktananda in the Siddha Yoga Meditation Center in So.Fallsburg, NY.  From that day on she has spent summers living in that spiritual retreat center with thousands of other devotees from around the world.  Celeste has been blessed with a unique childhood environment which she continues to emulate in her life to this day.  She never preaches or pushes her beliefs on anyone, but she feels fortunate to have been brought up with such an eclectic open spiritual lifestyle, enabling her to choose the path she resonated with most.

 

Her parents are both licensed massage therapists who live a holistic lifestyle.  As a child, her health circle revolved around a Homeopath (Dr. Joel Kreisberg), and an Osteopathic Doctor.

 

It was in high school when Celeste decided she wanted to heal the world.  She went on to graduate from Boston University where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Human Physiology and pre-medical studies, graduating with Honors (cum-laude) one semester early.  She was able to balance her studies with intramural soccer and running the Boston Marathon.

 

Celeste started to run as soon as she stood on her two feet and has used her speed and her team-player attitude to play competitive soccer for over 20 years.  Sports, nutrition, and her parents' physical medicine backgrounds led her to become nationally certified in personal training in 2001.  She has been CPR/AED certified since 1997.  Celeste worked as a Personal Fitness Trainer for a large fitness center in Northern California before moving up to Portland to attend the National College of Natural (Naturopathic) Medicine.  Currently, Celeste is working with other experts in Personal Training and exercise therapeutics at the Boston Sports Clubs Cambridge location.  She maintains her certification through the National Academy of Sports Medicine, one of the few certifications accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA).

While at the National College of Natural Medicine (NCNM), Celeste started the co-ed Ultimate Frisbee team which has been handed down to current students and friends so it will continue its purpose as a stress-reducing sweat-inducing fun-filled Friday.  Celeste was also part of the NCNM co-ed Division-One(1) Soccer team "Spirit-chasers", now called "Qi" for four (4) years, two (2) of which she held co-captain status.

  

Celeste graduated from NCNM in the top percent of her class and is a board certified, Licensed Naturopathic Doctor.  She holds a Naturopathic Medical California state license which allows her to practice Naturopathic Medicine in California and in any un-licensed state, including her current location.

 

Celeste has travelled around the world and is looking foward to settle into Rhode Island.
